Leicester City 1-2 Manchester United - PLAYER RATINGS: Zlatan Ibrahimovic nets late to win the Community Shield

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's late header secured the first silverware of Jose Mourinho's Manchester United reign, as the Red Devils beat Leicester City 2-1 to claim the Community Shield at Wembley.
The Swede beat Wes Morgan in the air as he connected with Antonio Valencia's cross, to head back across goal and into the far corner of the net to secure victory for the Red Devils.
It looked as if the game was heading to extra-time, after Marouane Fellaini's horribly under-hit back pass had allowed Jamie Vardy to level Jesse Lingard's opener, before Ibrahimovic struck to claim the trophy for his side.
Here,Sportsmail's LAURIE WHITWELL rates the players.
LEICESTER CITY 4-4-2
Kasper Schmeichel
Got a toe to opening goal and came up agonisingly short for second. Came off his line decisively a couple of times to clear.6.5
Danny Simpson
In the wars a little early on and had difficult defensive assignment but did fine, his best moment beating Fellaini to a far post header.6.5
Wes Morgan
Uncharacteristically committed to an unnecessary slide on Lingard, missing the ball and man, and couldn’t deny Ibrahimovic’s winner.5
Robert Huth
Missed first challenge as Lingard swept through Leicester defence but rose high to flick on ball and set up Musa close-range chance.6
Christian Fuchs
Ranieri likes the Austrian's defensive diligence, meaning no place in the squad for highly-rated Ben Chilwell, and there was the usual dependable display.6.5
Riyad Mahrez
Quiet by his standards for the third game running, drawing exasperation from Ranieri at times. Some nice moments but not quite clicking.6
Danny Drinkwater
Connection with Vardy up and running straightaway, that wedged pass of his a frequent outlet. His finest ball pinged a delicious cross field ball for Mahrez.7
Andy King
Ranieri vowed to start his strongest team so the Wales international’s inclusion presents an intriguing possibility for when the real action begins.6.5
Marc Albrighton
Delivered threatening corners and tracked back in his 45 minutes but struggled to impose himself in open play. Replaced at half-time.6
Shinji Okazaki
Went close with a curling shot that deflected just past post, then hit bar with a header from resulting corner. But sacrificed at break.6
Jamie Vardy
Full of energy in just second game back, lasting entire game. Produced eagle anticipation and a consummate finish for his goal.7
Substitutes
Ahmed Musa (for Okazaki 46’), Demarai Gray (for Albrighton 46’), Nampalys Mendy (for King 63’), Luis Hernandez (for Simpson 63’), Jeffrey Schlupp (for Fuchs 80’), Leo Ulloa (for Huth 89’)
Booked: Simpson, King, Vardy
Claudio Ranieri
Rewarded the team who led Leicester’s title charge by starting the most recognisable XI from last term with King in for N’Golo Kante. Made decisive changes at interval to aid his team’s speed on the counter.7
MANCHESTER UNITED 4-2-3-1
David De Gea
Wisely opted to steer clear of Vardy when he burst clear than attempt to win ball and risk a red card and did not have a proper save to make after that.6.5
Antonio Valencia
Provided perfect cross for the goal, like an alley-oop in basketball, leaving the ball dangling for a slam dunk finish. 6.5
Eric Bailly
Enjoyed a good battle with Vardy and showed encouraging signs, reading play well and timing tackles. Rush in a couple of times too though.7
Daley Blind
Uncertain whether Dutch defender will retain his place at centre-back once Chris Smalling returns but did well overall here. 7
Luke Shaw
Hugely positive for United to see Shaw back playing consistently and his forward runs and crosses were valuable.7
Michael Carrick
Sat at the base of United’s midfield and kept play moving in the right direction, knitting play together seamlessly.6.5
Marouane Fellaini
Played in the role soon to be taken by Paul Pogba and his weak backpass to set up equaliser was poor. Got forward sporadically.6
Jesse Lingard
Showed his potential with a goal of great skill and determination, driving past three Leicester players and finishing calmly.7.5
Wayne Rooney
Given No 10 role but had to wait until the 69th minute for his first shot on target, held easily by Schmeichel.6
Anthony Martial
Delivered direct running inside off left channel early on but for some reason failed to maintain that and was understandably replaced.6
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Bar a few neat flicks and seeing a scuffed shot cleared off the line, failed to make an impact before directing his header superbly and deciding game. 6.5
Ander Herrera (for Carrick 61’), Juan Mata (Lingard 63’), Marcos Rojo (for Shaw 69’), Marcus Rashford (Martial 70’), Morgan Schneiderlin (for Rooney 88’), Henrikh Mkhitaryan (for Mata 90’)
Booked: Bailly
Jose Mourinho
Found a way to win, like he usually does. Trusted Ibrahimovic to threaten till the end. His removal of Mata, having sent him on only 27 minutes earlier, is likely to have ramifications.7
