Tom Fletcher & Giovanna welcome a baby boy!

McFly's Tom Fletcher is a Dad! We can't wait for the accompanying Youtube music video...

Tom's wife Giovanna gave birth to a bouncing baby boy yesterday  - and the McFly singer revealed he has already changed his first nappy.

Tom tweeted this morning announcing the news: "Yep, @MrsGiFletcher gave birth to our insanely gorgeous son yesterday at 7pm. He is healthy, beautiful and I've already changed his nappy". 

New mum Giovanna also tweeted "THRILLED to announce the safe arrival of our little BOY! Born last night at 7pm. I can't stop staring at and kissing him! I'm in love!". 

No word as yet as to the baby's name, or a picture of the little tyke, but  Giovanna, who is TOWIE star Mario Falcone's sister, told OK magazine earlier this year that the pair were "putting together a chilled playlist like Jack Johnson and Norah Jones for the birth" and that they "weren't stopping at one". So expect more mini McFly's in the future.

The couple have been keeping us entertained with cute bump pictures during the pregnancy - so we're looking forward to more baby pics - and a Youtube video introducing the little guy!

No, really. They did.

As some sort of strange rite of passage sequel to the Wedding Song, McFly star Tom Fletcher and his wife Giovanna Falcone (yes, Mario from TOWIE's sister) decided to announce that they were expecting their first child together through the medium of video. And, erm, pumpkins.

The frontman posted a link to the YouTube clip below, which features them carving the Halloween squashes of choice to spell out, 'We're having a baby', revealing the message by turning the pumpkins around after singing a lullaby duet together.

"Me and @mrsgifletcher have some rather exciting news to share with you…" he tweeted with a link to the clip.

The band have a history of sharing personal information about themselves on YouTube. Most famously, Fletcher showed off his vocal talents by turning his groom's speech at his 2012 wedding to Falcone into a big old McFly medley.

Speaking of the performance, Dougie Poynter said: "On the day it was like, 'Wow, we just witnessed something absolutely amazing'. I don't think he planned on it being that kind of big. He definitely never planned on it going viral." 

Bandmate Harry Judd also shared a video of his wedding dance with wife Izzy Johnston.

McFly are gearing up to release their sixth studio album in spring 2014.
