David Beckham and his sons Romeo and Cruz were slimed on stage at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Sports Awards in Los Angeles last night
He is well-known as Goldenballs but David Beckham's fans took the joke to the extreme last night by sliming him on stage in golden goo.
The 39-year-old football legend and his sons Romeo and Cruz, who struggled to escape the slime, were left covered in the sticky paint at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Sports Awards in Los Angeles last night.
The trio stood looking pretty stunned as the paint dripped from them. It's a good job the former LA Galaxy star has a good sense of humour.

But while David laughed, it took a few minutes for nine-year-old Cruz to find the funny side as he looked down at his ruined white t-shirt, while his dad had been sensible and chosen a black shirt and Romeo, 15, who also wore a white t-shirt, seemed to escape some of the mess.

The audience were in hysterics as they watched the former England captain and his sons try and wipe the goo from their faces and out of their ears as a helper passed them towels to clean themselves up.

Celebrities including Pharrell Williams and Megan Fox, along with top athletes, were there to witness the sliming at David picked up the Legend Award from television network Nickelodeon on the night. But he probably had to clean his trophy once he got home.
After being covered head to toe, he also helpfully tried to clear the goo out of his son's faces so they could see again. He's such a good sport.
