Nicole Richie looks worryingly thin as she makes TV appearance in LA

Nicole Richie was looking incredibly thin when she made an appearance on American telly on Wednesday.

The blue-haired socialite was snapped waving to fans as she arrived at the Extra telly studios in LA - and she looked slimmer than ever.

The 32-year-old's slightly see-through top left her black bra and teeny waist on display for the cameras.

Nicole's bright blue mop added a dash of colour to her otherwise sombre outfit, and she wore a pair of enormous sunglasses to cover her eyes.

This is Nicole's second TV appearance this week.

Speaking on Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday , Nicole sais she is responsible for setting up her brother-in-law Benji Madden with Hollywood stunner Cameron Diaz.

Benji's a lucky guy to have that kind of family support.

When asked if she set the the pair up together, she answered "yes" and added: "I'm going to take responsibility for everything!"

Nicole is married to Benji's twin brother Joel Madden, so we guess she's the perfect person to choose a suitor for him.

She told the audience: "I approve of anything that's going to make Benji happy."

Now isn't that just lovely?

"I am a devoted sister-in-law," she added. "I'm happy for anyone who is happy, and I want everyone to be surrounded with love."

The happy star dressed in head-to-toe black for her appearance on the show, letting her bright hair do the talking all on its own.

We think Nicole did a good job, they may look all kinds of different, but we can't deny there's some real chemistry there.
