Manchester United squad number list: Januzaj takes No11 shirt vacated by Ryan Giggs

The No5, No7 and No9 shirts still remain vacant, though the club hint they could fill them by signing new players before the transfer window ends

Manchester United have released their full squad number list ahead of the upcoming Premier League season, and have revealed that Adnan Januzaj will take the No11 shirt.
The prestigious Red Devils squad number was vacated by club legend Ryan Giggs when he retired as a player at the end of last season, and Belgian youngster Januzaj, who has missed the majority of pre-season, will wear No11 this year.
There has been speculation about Januzaj's future after Louis van Gaal took charge at the club, after fellow attack-minded wingers Nani and Wilfried Zaha struggled to make any impression on their new boss in a formation that favours defensive wingers.
But after coming on as a substitute and playing up front alongside Wayne Rooney in Manchester United's 2-1 pre-season win over Valencia, the Belgian, who made his mark under David Moyes, has been boosted by being handed the No11 shirt.

Some fans called for the shirt number to be retired this season in honour of Giggs, but Manchester United announced in May that they would reallocate it.
