Miley Cyrus’ homeless VMA date sentenced to prison

For the second year in a row Miley ruins a man's life at the MTV VMAs

That homeless man guy Miley Cyrus took to the VMAs has a home now: prison, where he will live for the next six months.

Jesse Helt — the infamous homeless date Miley sent on stage to accept her Best Video award, who gave a speech so rousing and emotional that Miley cried and dribbled at the same time — was sentenced yesterday to six months in prison after violating his probation.

He was arrested in 2010 in his home state of Oregon, but violated his probation orders by refusing to perform mandatory community service, and instead flew to Los Angeles to be a model.

But seeing as he went on TV and accepted an award on behalf of Miley Cyrus, authorities were alerted to his whereabouts, and caught up with him re: the four-year-old community service he was meant to be doing.

Jesse reportedly pleaded with the judge for leniency, saying he would “like to be viewed as a good person, not as a nuisance to society”. Didn’t work, though.

Anyway: if HBO hasn’t signed them both up for a real-life Prison Breaksequel where Miley Cyrus — covered in a mess of intricate tattoos — breaks Jesse out of prison, then what exactly is the point of HBO any more?
