Premiership giant Liverpool eye Eagles skipper Enyeama in January transfer window

SUPER Eagles skipper Vincent Enyeama is one of the goalkeepers currently being looked at by Premiership giants Liverpool as the clubs seeks to find a replacement for their Belgian shot stopper Simon Mignolet in the January transfer window.

Although Mignolet has had a relatively decent season, Liverpool are languishing in seventh place in the Premiership table and the club's fans want a championship-winning goalkeeper. Liverpool's management initially wanted someone to provide Mignolet with competition but the Anfield faithful want him replaced.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is said to have drawn up a list of five goalkeepers he is looking to enquire about and Enyeama is one of them. others on the list include Kiko Casilla of Espanyol, Asmir Begovic of Stoke City, Mattia Perin of Genoa and Timo Horn of Cologne.

Currently playing in the French league with Lille, Enyeama, 32, was named as one of the top 10 goalkeepers in this year's World Cup, hosted by Brazil. Last season, he kept 11 consecutive clean sheets for Lille more than any other goalkeeper in Europe’s top five leagues
