Angelina Jolie made a stunning entrance in white at the premiere of her latest movie Unbroken in London on Tuesday night.

The actress, who has got behind the camera for this latest film, covered her shoulders in the white Ralph & Russo midi with a capelet detail.

Angelina, who has admitted having a soft spot for England after having lived here, joined the majority of the film's cast by wearing a crystal poppy brooch from the Royal British Legion as a mark of remembrance.

The £14.99 brooch is hand crafted with over 100 ruby crystals and is engraved with the message ‘Lest We Forget’ on the back, according to the charity’s site.

Angelina posed with Chelsea pensioners as well as past and present members of the armed forces.

Charles Byrne, Director of Fundraising for The Royal British Legion said: “Louie Zamperini’s story is remarkable and inspiring, and is representative of many of our Second World War heroes serving on both sides of the Atlantic who experienced extraordinary and harrowing events during that conflict.

“The Legion is thrilled to be the charity of choice for the UK premiere of Unbroken, the funds from which will enable us to uphold the memory of the fallen and support the future of living. Our welfare services offer through life support to our beneficiaries who range from Second World War veterans, to those serving today and their families.”

Her latest movie, which stars Skins actor Jack O’Connell, tells the epic story of WWII POW survivor Louis Zamperini.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, she said: “I didn’t know what I was up against when I was first getting into it.”

The 39-year-old, who shot scenes in the Pacific off the coast of Queensland, Australia, said: “I have never done anything like it.

“I was up for a challenge, but I had so much to learn.”

In an interview with Channel 4, the honourary dame said that she is fond of England and would like to have a place here.

She said: "They kind of do say that often with us wherever we land. They’ve [the media] figured out that I’m quite fond of England. I have lived here before and in the future it would be very nice to have a foothold here for work. Some kind of an office I think would be nice."

Angelina fought to direct the movie, which also stars Jai Courtney and Domhall Gleeson, to tell the story of Zamperini, who died earlier this year at the age of 97.

The film is an adaptation of Laura Hillenbrand's 2010 book Unbroken, which focusses on the former Olympic runner, who spent over two years in a Japanese prison camp after his plane crashed in the Pacific after a failed World War II search-and-rescue mission.
