Marquinhos Stretches PSG Stay To 2019 With New Deal

Brazil defender, Marquinhos has signed a one-year contract extension at Paris St-Germain, which will see him remain with the French club until 2019.

Marquinhos, 20, joined the French champions from Italian club Roma on a five-year deal in July 2013, and has figured in 38 Ligue 1 matches.

He was linked with a move away from the Parc des Princes after struggling to hold down a starting role last season.

Manchester United were among the clubs keen on the centre-back, who also plays as a full-back, but he has underlined his resolve to remain with PSG with a new contract extension.
