FIFA recommends four-year ban for ex-official Makudi

In a statement, FIFA’s Ethics Committee also recommended a ban for no less than four years and a fine of no less than 25,000 Swiss francs (25,400 Euros).

FIFA has recommended their former council member, Worawi Makudi, be banned from footballing activities for four years, the association confirmed on Friday.
Makudi had initially received a 90-day suspension in December 2015 for an unspecified breach of FIFA’s code of ethics.
That suspension was then extended to three years this February after he was found to have violated the terms of the initial ban.
In a statement, FIFA’s Ethics Committee also recommended a ban for no less than four years and a fine of no less than 25,000 Swiss francs (25,400 Euros).
FIFA banned Makudi for alleged violation of the general rules of conduct, loyalty, forgery and falsification and the obligation of the parties to collaborate.
The investigation centred on allegations that Makudi had altered Thailand FA statutes without approval.
A formal decision would now be made by the adjudicatory chamber of the Ethics Committee to determine whether that recommendation would be enforced.
