Kevin Hart to draw crowds during Bay Area stops

Kevin Hart is coming to the Bay Area, and you won’t need a telescope to see him.
The popular stand-up comic and movie star (“Central Intelligence,” “Ride Along,” the very underrated “Soul Plane”) has played sports arenas and sold more than 50,000 seats last year at the Lincoln Financial Field in his native Philadelphia, becoming the first stand-up comedian to headline a football stadium.
By contrast, his Sunday, July 31, and Tuesday, Aug. 2, shows at the Concord Pavilion and Stockton Arena, respectively, almost qualify as intimate. His Monday, Aug. 1, show at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga is definitely a rare treat.
Bigger venues haven’t translated to a bigger head. Audience connection and relatability are still two of his biggest attributes, even as he has become one of the most popular comics on the planet.
