Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic snappes for the first time

They're the two marquee summer signings at Manchester United, and it looks as if £100million arrival Paul Pogba can't wait to play alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Pogba, now the world's most expensive footballer following his mega-money move from Juventus, is preparing for United's Premier League opener with Bournemouth on Sunday where he is almost certain to be involved alongside Ibrahimovic.

And ahead of the game at the Vitality Stadium, Pogba has been keen to show his support for the free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain, sharing a photo on social media of him alongside the veteran Swedish striker on holiday in Los Angeles earlier this summer. Pogba captioned the picture: 'THOR. Throwback to Los Angeles with Thooor.'

Pogba's move back to United - the club he left in 2012 - was the transfer story of the summer, his arrival alongside Ibrahimovic giving Jose Mourinho's United back the stardust they've craved in recent seasons.

But before the deal for Pogba was officially confirmed, the France midfielder gave a clue he was returning to Old Trafford by dining out with Ibrahimovic in LA.

Ibrahimovic has had an instant impact at United, scoring the winner in the Community Shield

The pair posed for pictures withchef Bobby Chinn, who claimed at the time the duo and their families dined together in California following their roles at Euro 2016.

Chinn, who posted images of him with both Pogba and Ibrahimovic, speculated that they spoke about United during their time together in the States.

Now, the duo are two of the biggest names in United's squad after Pogba's move was eventually confirmed earlier this week.

Ibrahimovic has already helped United to trophy success, scoring a late winner in the 2-1 Community Shield victory over Leicester at Wembley last Sunday.

The Swede is a certainty to start at Bournemouth while Pogba, who has been at United's training base since Monday, is also likely to be in contention.

The star pairing have joined Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan as new arrivals at United, making Mourinho's side one of the favourites for this season's Premier League title.
