After starring in Leicester's incredible Premier League title-winning campaign Mahrez has been the subject of much transfer speculation over the summer. Rumours of a move to Arsenal continue to persist as the new season approaches.

Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri recently admitted talk of a move to north London has distracted Mahrez, who played 45 minutes against Barca at the Friends Arena in Stockholm on Wednesday.

SIMON JONES: Manchester City are pressing ahead in their bid to sign highly-rated Ante Coric from Dinamo Zagreb.

City will announce the signing of winger Marlos Moreno from Atletico Nacional for £4.75m, which follows on from Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane, yet they are not finished there with Coric and Everton's John Stones still in the sights of Pep Guardiola.

City have been conscious of reducing the age profile of their squad and their recruitment has reflected that.

Coric is a 19-year-old Croatia international and was part of the squad at Euro 2016. RHODRI CANNON: Bayern Munich are set to activate their option to buy Kingsley Coman from Juventus.

Coman joined the Bundesliga giants last season on a two-year loan deal from Juve and could sign for Carlo Ancelotti's side permanently for a fee of around £18m.

Cristiano Ronaldo poised to pen new five-year deal at Real Madrid


TOM FARMERY: Cristiano Ronaldo is set to sign a new contract at Real Madrid that will see him stay in the Spanish capital until at least the summer of 2021.

Madrid-based newspaper AS have reported that Ronaldo, who is on holiday in Miami after Portugal's success at Euro 2016, has been in talks over the phone with Real president Florentino Perez over a new deal.

It is understood that the 31-year-old's agent Jorge Mendes will meet with Perez and other representatives from the Santiago Bernabeu next week when Ronaldo is back in training.

Newcastle United confirm Marseille departure of Florian Thauvin


Florian Thauvin has indeed completed his move back to Marseille on loan, with the French club having an option to make the switch a permanent one next summer.

Tahuvin featured in four of five of Newcastle's pre-season games this summer. The winger made 16 competitive appearances last season, five of which were starts, and scored one goal.

Swansea City are closing in on a couple of signings after a frustrating summer in the transfer market, chairman Huw Jenkins has said.

Swansea have already signed midfielder Leroy Fer, defender Mike van der Hoorn and goalkeeper Mark Birighitti but sold forward Alberto Paloschi to Serie A side Atalanta and loaned out striker Bafetimbi Gomis to French club Marseille.

Marseille have deal in place to re-sign Florian Thauvin from Newcastle United


Marseille sporting director Gunter Jacob has claimed his team have agreed a deal to sign Thauvin from Newcastle.

The midfielder flopped at St James' Park last term following a £15million switch from the south of France, before he was shipped back to the Ligue 1 club on loan.
