We don’t need rigging to win Osun – PDP

Rather, it said it would plead on the people of the state to deliver their votes for its candidate, Sen. Iyiola Omisore.
The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Chief Olisa Metuh, stated this in an interview with our correspondent on Sunday.
Metuh said that it would be wrong to allege that the party was banking on an unarmed official to deliver votes for the party in 10 local government areas as alleged by the APC.
He also denied the allegation that the party was shopping for a pliable returning officer to help the party rig the election.
Metuh said, “We are focusing on winning this election. The APC is focusing on propaganda. Twice our candidate stepped down for others, saying that he would wait for God’s time.We know that this is God’s time for him.
“Nigerians are witness to the fact that based on his popularity, Omisore would have become governor in 1999 and 2003 respectively but sacrificed his personal ambition to accept the position of deputy governor out of humility and commitment to the stability of the state. On these two occasions, he obeyed his people and made reference to God’s appointed time.
“We don’t need anybody to rig this election because we know that the people of Osun State are with us. They will vote for our candidate on Saturday.”
