Jimi Agbaje Defeats Musiliu Obanikoro In Lagos PDP Primaries



Jimi Agbaje has reportedly been declared winner of the Lagos PDP governorship primaries.

Agbaje pulled the most votes amongst all the contestants, including Musiliu Obanikoro, Mr. Babatunde Gbadamosi, Dr (Mrs) Modupe Chukwuneke, Ambassador Tokunboh Kamson and Adedeji Doherty.

Agbaje, who lost out in the 2007 elections under the platform of the Democratic Peoples Alliance (DPA), won by polling 432 of 836 votes cast at the primaries conducted on Monday. Former Minister of Defence, Obanikoro, polled a total of 343 votes.

Jimi Agbaje will now face off against the APC’s Akin Ambode in next year’s election.
