Rihanna has paid tribute to actress and dancer Stephanie Moseley.

The Diamonds hitmaker posted a photograph of the Twilight Saga star on Instagram this morning after she was shot dead by her rapper husband Earl Hayes yesterday, who then turned the gun on himself.

RiRi shared the image of the late star wearing a gorgeous bright pink two-piece along with the caption: "r.i.p. Stephanie."

Former Pussycat Dolls star Ashley Roberts also took to Twitter to speak of her shock, posting: "Just woke up to horrible news. RIP Stephanie Moseley. I will remember you as the bright light that you were. So sad."

The tributes comes after ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, who worked with the dancer on his tour, spoke about her death on Instagram.

He wrote: "RIP baby girl. Dancing with me on tour and the coolest person. My prayers go out to you and the HAZE family."

Stephanie Moseley had died in murder suicide

Earl, who was pals with boxer Floyd Mayweather, killed his wife following a huge row yesterday morning at LA residence Palazzo East - home to Russell Brand, Bruno Tonioli and Thom Evans.

Witnesses say there were ten gun shots heard and Mayweather was on FaceTime to Hayes when the incident happened. He is now being treated as a witness to the suicide murder.

Residents at the high end gated community were left shocked - particularly as it is the place where Brit stars live when they try to crack Hollywood.

One neighbour told how Earl and Stephanie would "regularly fight" and were believed to be in the process of splitting up.

Stephanie played Devil Girl in Hit The Floor, a VHI drama about an NBA cheerleading team called the Los Angeles Devil Girls.

She also starred in Mirror, Mirror and Sparkle and worked as a backing dancer for Janet Jackson and Britney Spears.
