Kate Hudson Calls Off Her Engagement

Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy have split after four years together.

The actress and the Muse frontman announced their engagement in April 2011, and have insisted in the past couple years that they planned to marry "eventually."

Hudson, who has a 3-year-old son, Bingham Hawn, with Bellamy, hinted back in May that she could marry Bellamy in the near future, saying: "We still don't have any plans to get married, but eventually we will… probably sooner rather than later."

But rumors of a possible split were widely reported at the beginning of this year, when Hudson's diamond engagement ring was missing as she presented an award at the Oscars. Now, Hudson's rep tells People, "Kate and Matt have been separated for some time now. Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents."
