Snoop Dogg, The Game led peaceful march to LAPD headquarters - NY Daily News

Snoop Dogg and The Game led a peaceful march of men to LAPD headquarters Friday morning.

The rappers and Los Angeles natives called for unity and asked men of color to walk with them. Their march of about 50 men happened to coincide with the ceremony for LAPD’s newest recruits which they didn’t realize would happen, Snoop told the Los Angles Times.

“We came here today in peace and love and to get a nice dialog,” Snoop said. “We are here to show support for these police officers that’s getting into the field.”

Some of the marchers wore T-shirts emblazoned with H.U.N.T. and they said stood for: “Hate Us Not Today. Hunt You Not Today.”

On his Instagram account, The Game called for all African-American, Mexican-American men “and any other race or real men to stand with us today and walk peacefully.”

He was very clear that marchers should check their anger before meeting and to not bring weapons.

“Do not come high or belligerent,” The Game wrote. “We don’t need any hot heads or anyone there for the wrong reasons.”

The point, The Game said, was to alert the government that “we will be unified as minorities and we will no longer allow them to hunt us or be hunted by us.”

The march was organized hours after the five Dallas police officers were fatally shot, and it went off peacefully.

The Game and Snoop Dogg were very calm and controlled. They stressed this was all about the community of men reintroducing themselves to the LAPD.

“I want us to reintroduce to the LAPD and the LAPD to have an opportunity to look us in our eyes and reintroduce themselves to us so there is no hatred on either side,” The Game said.
