Leicester City star Jamie Vardy in Hollywood as striker continues talks over film adaptation of rags-to-riches rise

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy is in Hollywood with his wife Rebekah as he continues negotiations over a film adaptation of his rise from non-League prospect to Premier League champion.
The England international, 29, is in talks with screenwriter Paul Tamsay, whose credits include 2010'sThe Fighter, and producer Adrian Butchart, who worked on the Goal! series, over a biopic in the near future.
One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson, meanwhile, has been tipped to play Vardy in the film's lead role.
Vardy, who began his career at Stocksbridge Park Steels, also had spells at Halifax Town and Fleetwood Town before joining then Championship side Leicester in 2012 for £1million.
He helped the Foxes to promotion to the top-flight in his second season with the club and to avoid relegation immediately afterwards.
Last season, Vardy and Leicester stunned the football world, completing one of the sport's unlikeliest underdog stories to win the Premier League crown, 10 points clear ahead of second-placed Arsenal in the final table.
Vardy scored 24 goals in 36 league appearances last term, his spectacular form earning him a regular spot in the England set-up.
Since his debut in 2015, Vardy has scored four goals in 11 caps, including a stunning backheel in a 3-2 friendly win over Germany.
