Zlatan Ibrahimovic drives Louis van Gaal's old Mercedes as Manchester United striker takes his family bowling

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is surely the last person you would expect to see traveling in a second hand car.

The Swedish striker is a man who has brought his own physio to England following his move to Manchester United, moved out of the luxury Lowry hotel because it did not have a swimming pool and once vowed to buy an entire hotel in Paris if he wasn't able to find suitable accommodation elsewhere.

Never short of confidence, he's previously described himself as a Ferrari and scoffed at suggestions he had bought a Porsche - joking he'd purchased a private jet instead - so it was perhaps a little surprising to see him using a car previously owned by Louis van Gaal while on an outing with his family.

Following his afternoon at All Star Lanes in Manchester city centre, the Swedish striker and his family walked the 200 yards back to the Radisson hotel, where he is currently staying after switching from the Lowry.

He stopped for pictures with passing fans, all the while being flanked by a member of Manchester United's security staff. 

He was then left in the silver Mercedes S500 driven by former United manager van Gaal, before he was fired at the end of last season..

Ibrahimovic's day of relaxation comes just 24 hours after getting his United career off to an impressive start, with an acrobatic goal four minutes into his side's 5-2 victory over Galatasary in Sweden on Saturday.

He is also set to be a big influence off the pitch, with young striker Marcus Rashford looking to learn from the well-traveled Swede. 

‘It’s a massive help to be with him every day. We can definitely all learn from him while he is here, so we all need to take that chance,’ said Rashford.

‘It’s great to see what he is like on and off the pitch. There is a lot to learn from him and hopefully I can bring some of his game into mine.’

Ibrahimovic's next chance to impress is in Wayne Rooney's testimonial at Old Trafford on Wednesday when the Red Devils take on Everton.
