Iheanacho thanks Pellegrini


Manchester City’s up and coming striker, Kelehi Iheanacho has pinned his 2016 successful season down to former manager Manuel Pellegrini. Iheanacho The Chilean-born manager introduced Iheanacho to City’s top flight matches and the former Golden Eaglets start did not disappoint scoring eight goals. Iheanacho said he is looking for a good outing under new manager Pep Guardiola. “Pellegrini made it possible. But now we have a new manager. “Guardiola is a good manager, everyone knows that,” he says. “He’s bringing fresh thoughts and his own style.
“Everything is different and everyone is adapting to what he’s teaching us. We need to understand what he’s telling us and what he wants to bring to the team. He stated that last season is now past and he is looking to do more in the days ahead under Guardiola. “It’s been good,” Iheanacho tells Sky Sports. “Last season was great for me and there were some good highlights. Scoring my goal against Crystal Palace and playing against Real Madrid in the Bernabeu, those were good feelings. But that was last season and it’s history. Now it’s a new season and we need to focus.”
