Super Eagles new Coach: 'Conditions not met' - Paul Le Guen

Breaking: Paul Le Guen rejects Super Eagles job
The technical and development committee of the NFF had on Monday, July 18, named Le Guen as the new Super Eagles head coach. However, top French journalist Herve Penot revealed this on his verified Twitter handle @hpenot_lequipe in French that the tactician will not go to Nigeria since his conditions were not met by the NFF.

Recall that former coach of the Super Eagles Sunday Oliseh resigned his position citing a breach of contract by Nigeria’s football body. The former captain announced his resignation, citing unpaid salaries, lack of cooperation, among other factors, as responsible for his action. During his time, the late Coach Stephen Keshi also blasted the NFF president Amaju Pinnick and his Board tagging them as liars and claimed they owe him and his coaching staff two months salaries and various match bonuses. After Oliseh’s departure, Salisu Yusuf was drafted to temporarily manage the team where he led the team to win two friendly games in May against Mali and Luxembourg.
After so much application for the top job, the technical and development committee of the NFF on Monday, July 19, named Frenchman Paul Le Guen as the new gaffer from a three-man-shortlist which include Belgian tactician Tom Saintfiet and Nigeria’s Salisu Yusuf. With the new development, Nigeria’s chances in qualifying for the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia may be at danger.
