The cost of living is continuing to soar in Nigeria. Inflation in June accelerated to 16.5%, the highest rate in almost 11 years. A recent hike in fuel costs, after the end of decades of subsidies, and continuing restrictions on foreign exchange have affected Nigerians across the board. It's not just imports that are going up, the costs of local produce has been on the rise too. Nigeria is one of Africa's main oil producers and the global fall in crude prices has hit the economy hard. Hauwa Mustafa is an economist and head of research at the Nigeria Labour Congress, and talked to the BBC's Susannah Streeter about the impact of high inflation on ordinary Nigerians.
