Rappers Will.i.am and Lil Boosie weigh in on police killlings

Hip-hop stars Will.i.am and Lil Boosie have conflicting views regarding the recent police shootings.
Boosie, born Torrence Hatch, weighed in on the Baton Rogue shooting Sunday that left three police officers dead.
“It’s a lot of anger down there, a lot of people are angry down there. Everybody I’m talking to when I call home they mad,”
the Baton Rogue native told TMZ. “It’s just a bad position for a lot of people right now. It’s a bad position for the way we feeling down there, It’s a bad position for the police, it’s just all out craziness out there.”
Boosie, 33, believes that police shootings will increase - especially if the officers who shot Anton Sterling in Baton Rogue and Philando Castile in St. Paul aren't convicted of murder.
After Boosie's comments, TMZ asked the Black Eyed Peas singer if he agreed with the "Wipe Me Down" rapper sentiments.
"I don't think that's what we need, at the same time I feel [the] pain, but I don't think that's what we need," Will.i.am, aka William Adams, told TMZ. "I think we need to put our energies into building up our communities ourselves."
He continued, "How do we take accountability for ourselves? We gotta stop killing ourselves and stop destroying our communities when something goes wrong, we need to power up, and build our communities up.
