However, outside of America the Kardashians still rule the roost

It seems America is no longer keeping up with the Kardashians, but has found a new family to follow.

Following the RNC, the Trumps have surpassed the reality television stars as the most searched family in the US, according toGoogle Trends.


The search engine’s chart shows the query ‘Trump family’ has sky rocketed in the last seven days, beating the California TV family 100 to 20 in interest over time.

Leading the pack in the US for the most interest is Washington, followed by Chicago and then Trump’s home state – New York.


The top searches for the Republican family include ‘Donald Trump family’, ‘The Trump family’ and ‘Trump and Family’.


Even though the US has moved on, it seems Kim and the family have been able to keep the attention of other parts of the world.


The reality television crew holds the top spots in both Canada and United Kingdom in regards to the search volume index.





The massive boost is a result of the Republican Nominee Conference (RNC) this week, which seemed to also double as a coming out party for the entire Trump family.


On the first night, Ivanka Trump introduced her father, as 'the people's champion' who took the stage with the his silhouette picking out against a dramatic backlighting as ‘Queen’s We Are The Champions’ belted through the speakers.


Twitter users poked fun at the over-the-top entrance, comparing it to the way WWE wrestlers strut into arenas, rap star Drake’s Hotline Bling video and chief spook Gozer from Ghostbusters confronting characters Spengler, Stantz, Venkman and Zeddmore.


Following this big entrance was the speech that stole the show.


Melania Trump spoke about her husband and why he would make a great president, but it was later revealed that a few passages had been pulled from Michelle Obama’s 2008 speech about her husband and the current US President, Barack Obama.


The rest of the family, Donald Jr., Eric and Tiffany, were all given their time to shine and speak about how loving and respectable their father is – before throwing daggers and pointing fingers at Ted Cruz for not endorsing The Donald.

This morning marked the last day of the RNC, which Trump left with a gleeful series of attaches on his defeated rival Ted Cruz – ending the conference with a bang.


He mocked him over and over again, accusing Cruz of lying – and even raised a purported link between Cruz's father and Lee Harvey Oswald, who killed President John F. Kennedy.





Trump said even if Cruz were to endorse him now, he would not accept it. And he gleefully boasted that the Texas senator 'was booed the hell off the stage' at the end of his convention speech on Wednesday night.
